READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING FIXTURE
This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations.
To assure full compliance with local codes and regulations, check with your local electrical inspector before
installation. To prevent electrical shock, turn off electricity at fuse box before proceeding.
Retain these instructions for maintenance reference.

Note: This instruction sheet covers several fixture styles.
Powerhead assembly, lamp type, and reflector may
vary slightly from that shown, although installation is
the same.
STEM INSTALLATION:
1. Rotate BALL so that side hole comes into view. Install end of
STEM into BALL, lining up holes. Install SPLIT PIN into holes and
allow BALL/STEM to swing into resting position, trapping the PIN
into place.
2. While supporting STEM ASSEMBLY make connections: black
stem lead to hot (black) supply lead; white stem lead to neutral
(white) supply lead. Green stem wiring wire is a ground wire and
must be connected to grounding terminal or ground lead inside
OUTLET BOX. Use WIRE NUTS (local hardware item). Push supply
wires and connections back into OUTLET BOX.
CAUTION: MAKE CERTAIN WIRES ARE NOT PINCHED
BETWEEN PARTS.
3. Secure STEM ASSEMBLY to OUTLET BOX using OUTLET BOX
SCREWS. Thread OUTLET BOX SCREWS into OUTLET BOX. Pass
OUTLET BOX SCREWS through SLOT in SWIVEL PLATE and twist
through KEYHOLE. Fully tighten screws.
4. Slide CANOPY up STEM and attach CANOPY to SWIVEL PLATE
using CANOPY SCREWS.
POWER HEAD INSTALLATION:
1. Slide STEM through opening in HANGER BRACKET. To secure
STEM, align holes and push PIN into holes. Push COTTER PIN
through hole at the end of PIN to secure PIN in place (as shown
in fig .2).
2. Align KEYHOLE in MOUNTING PLATE with SCREWS in TOP
MOUNTING PLATE and twist into position. Fully tighten SCREWS.
3. Remove DOOR from POWERHEAD by loosening SCREW in TOP
MOUNTING PLATE (SCREW is located directly above PIN on
POWERHEAD DOOR which protrudes through BOTTOM PLATE).
Pull DOOR directly away from POWERHEAD.
4. Using WIRE NUTS (local hardware item) wire fixture:
COMPACT FLUORESCENT and INCANDESCENT FIXTURES: Black
fixture lead to hot (black) stem lead; white stem lead to neutral
(white) supply lead. Attach green ground wire from BOTTOM
PLATE to green ground wire from stem lead and BALLAST (if
supplied). METAL HALIDE FIXTURES: Refer to wiring diagram
illustration in fig. 4.
5. Reinstall door and secure in place by tightening SCREW through
TOP MOUNTING PLATE.
6. Install recommended lamp(s).
Note: On metal halide fixtures with auxiliary light option, install
halogen lamp (as shown in Fig. 3).
CAUTION: MAXIMUM WATTAGE AS MARKED ON
FIXTURE MUST NOT BE EXCEEDED.
REFLECTOR INSTALLATION:
1. Slide COLLAR up extruded NECK.
2. Tip REFLECTOR over REFLECTOR PLATE and allow REFLECTOR
to rest on TABS.
3. Slide COLLAR down over REFLECTOR and secure in place by
loosening two SET SCREWS in extruded NECK. allowing SET
SCREW to extend outward enough to hold COLLAR in position.
LENS INSTALLATION (when provided):
1. Place LENS up into lip of REFLECTOR. Secure in place by opening
RING around lip of REFLECTOR and allowing spring tension to
hold in place.
